Welcome
The artistic universe proposed by Carla D’Amato unfolds as a territory in which life and passion are distilled into image and artistic proposition. Each work retains the intensity of singular experiences, transformed into visual narratives that seek to activate a profound emotional resonance.
Her practice brings together a distinctive visual language and a system of signs that construct open-ended narratives, suspended between the visible and the suggested. Painting, sculpture, and installation form an interconnected body of work that seeks to echo life itself while exploring the nature of reality. This transversal inquiry into existence is expressed through the force of gesture, subtlety, and material presence. The work positions itself as a witness to the process of being in which we are all immersed and actively participating, where what we see—and what we are—emerges as the cumulative result of lived experience.
D’Amato’s practice articulates a space in which life and art become inseparable, expressing their complexity through a language that is at once contemporary and timeless.

SERIES

Happening Now
& SPECIAL EDITIONS
The Happening Now series traces a territory of suspension and threshold, where the expanded instant appears in scenes that seem to inhabit the edge between reverie and consciousness—where stillness holds, in potential, an inner movement.
Serene contemplation is linked here to a deeper reflection on presence, time, and sensitivity; each piece functions as a fragment of a state, rather than as a mere representation of a scene.

Traces of The Present Moment
A series that unfolds and immerses itself in the formal and conceptual investigation around the materialization of existence.
Through a radically innovative performance painting technique—conceived and developed by the artist herself—the pictorial gesture becomes an action record: the surface gathers impact, frictions, displacements, and pauses. Lights and shadows, complementary opposites, configuring fields that evoke both contained energy and inner impulse.
The series is thus situated at a crossroads between painting, action, and trace, where the artist’s body operates as a mediator between impulse and form.

1-800 Desires
Taking Reservations
The 1-800 Desires series is a sharp commentary on the multifaceted nature of desire in contemporary culture. Signs that operate as emblems of aspirations tied to power, wealth, and intimacy—devices that reveal the almost advertising-like logic through which longing is articulated and consumed.
The artist herself distills the spirit of the project into a key line:
“Tell me your desire and I’ll turn it into a work of art—or into something you can have.”
This statement introduces a deliberate tension between intimate desire and the purchasable object, questioning the boundaries between experience, promise, and commodity.
